Salsa El Mariachi - Complete Bike

When the Salsa arrived in the shop there was some talk of it being the wrong size. "It's too big - I think we'll need the next size down..." Then Rob came in and stood beside the bike and everyone said "Actually that looks just about perfect..."

At 6' 4" and around 120kg Rob is a big rider and needed a bike to match.

"Before I rode it I'd read all the stuff about how smooth 29er bikes are to ride but didn't really believe it - so I was stoked to find out everything they say about 29ers and quality steel frames is true. It's the best riding bike I've ever owned (this is my 6th) - really smooth, I don't have to think about the bike it just seems to disappear as I'm riding - after I bought the bike I noticed that Salsa's motto is "Ride and Smile" - that's pretty much all I've been doing since I got this bike."

"This bike isn't for everyone - but if you're a big rider looking for the perfect all-rounder I'd go so far as to say the search is over..."

On top of this being an awesome ride it is also excellent value for money as a complete bike at $2495 it includes the excellent Avid BB7 disc brakes, top quality rims, Pro-Moto bar, Truvativ’s Stylo SS 1.1 crankset,

From the Salsa web site:

"We top all of this off with a bunch of well-deserving Salsa details that are often overlooked by the larger bike companies. Our Pepperjack grips and Pro Moto 11 degree flat bar give your hands a perfect perch. The Shaft seatpost makes saddle adjustment a cinch, while the Delgado 29’er Disc rims fill out those tires nicely. A painted-to-match CroMoto SUL stem, blue Flip-Off skewers, and a blue Lip-Lock seat collar are the icing on the cake. Can you say ‘Pimp my ride’?"
